In Psalm 115, the psalmist begins with a protest against pride: “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name be the glory.” It’s a call to shift the spotlight—to redirect credit, honor, and trust to the God who truly deserves it.

In this episode, we reflect on the contrast between lifeless idols and the living God who sees, speaks, and saves. We weren’t made to glorify ourselves or trust in what we can control—we were made to trust in Him and give Him glory.

John the Baptist makes it plain: “He who comes from above is above all.” Jesus isn’t one voice among many—He speaks with heaven’s authority.

We often think change starts with effort—new habits, new routines, more willpower. But through Ezekiel, God shows us something different: real change begins with Him. He promises not just to forgive but to transform—to give us a new heart, a new spirit, and His very presence within us. 

This isn’t cosmetic grace; it’s heart surgery. God doesn’t just wash us up—He remakes us and fills us with His Spirit.

Some of us are not good at receiving free gifts. Even when a friend covers lunch, something in us can want to pay it back. But grace doesn’t work that way—and the cross proves it.

In this episode, we reflect on Jesus’ words to Nicodemus: “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.” Not vaguely. Not passively. But sacrificially. Jesus was lifted up—on a cross, in our place—so that we could step out of darkness and into life.
