Ephesians 5 contains some of the clearest teaching about husband-wife relationships anywhere in the Bible.  Properly applied, it can lead a couple into a phenomenal marriage, but each person must do their part. 

We can live in darkness, we can BE darkness; OR, in Christ we can live in The Light and choose to be the light of Christ to the world around us.  What will you choose?

The Christian is called to live as an imitator of Christ - in other words, to do what Jesus did, to love as Jesus loved, to forgive as Jesus forgave.  He is our pattern of love, yet too often we see the perversion of this love resulting in a coming punishment for those who have not repented. 

While Christianity shouldn't be relegated simply to a moralistic list of do's and don'ts, yet, while Christianity has its roots in faith and relationship with God, there are things Christians are not to do, and there are things that they should do...but the list isn't quite what you might think. 

We are made new by a work that begins INSIDE of us, generated by the Holy Spirit, and that change should become increasing evident on the OUTSIDE of us as we continue to grow.

We are not just called to believe individually, we are called to grow-up into maturity in Christ corporately, speaking the truth, hearing the truth, all in the love of Christ.

God has gifted individuals by His grace, and He has also given individuals as gifts by His grace to His Church. All of this gifting is to lead to a united maturity within Christ's Body, His Church.

While Ephesians chapters 1 - 3 are very doctrinal in their content, chapters 4 - 6 are very practical.  This episode considers the oneness that we should strive for within the family of God...make every effort.

The incredible Love of Christ is high and deep and wide and broad, so much so that we can only begin to know its expanse.  Paul's prayer is that we increasing get to know this unfathomable love of Christ.

How God would bring redemption was a mystery for millennia, but now, through Christ the mystery and the wisdom of this wonderful act of God on behalf of mankind is now made known.
