Today's news feed provided this study on cannabis users for medicine and it's revealed us of the term cannabis use disorder, the article outlines data from 2021 and shows us a few details relating to those suffering from it and why.

Many people use cannabis for different reasons, under the medical laws as the article notes the cannabis doctors are eager to write scripts for almost any condition from depression to anxiety you name it. It's not to say people don't actually need it for the claims or symptoms they struggle with but it is to show that often times people seeking out medicinal cannabis do not actually get the relief they seek, this idea shared by the study provided by CNN is likely only looking at a small test group of individuals.

The reality is that cannabis for medicine is common has been for a long time, people do find relief from it's use and are able to improve their quality of life in some manner. The over use of cannabis as the article suggests that leads to cannabis use disorder requires more study as individual use cases may show vast differences between the behavior of users day in and day out.

Among those suffering from bipolar disease or depression the number of users of cannabis showed these individuals are at higher risk of self harm or suicide.

There's so much money in cannabis right now and a key point that also shows us this is true is how much tax revenue is being generated in legal states documented from 2021. There is such an abundance of cash in these states that the local leaders are fighting over how to use it.

Ofcourse for many of these states a portion of the tax revenue is to be spent on programs for those effected disproportionately by drug laws going back decades.

In this episode I am looking over an article produced by NBC recently highlighting which states have actually allocated money to these programs and which ones have fell short on that promise. One thing is clear though and that is the fact each of these states are sitting on boat loads of cash. I always wonder how it is we have so many problems in our cities when there is a lot of capital sitting on the sidelines waiting to do something.

I'm sure many people within their communities have ideas of how that money can improve their local neighborhoods, just like myself I know there better ways to be spending this money where if properly managed with oversight can be effective to accomplish the goals set out initially.

Must be nice for states to have such financial security and a bright future in the cannabis industry.

In this episode I want to discuss mental health, it's been ignored for so long. Thinking back decades ago it was just treated and that was all. Now a days it seems to have come full circle where the growing number of those who suffer are in the tens of millions everyday and vary from all ages.

I will share data provided by the National Alliance For Mental Health it provides data sets from 2020 before the pandemic. It's clear to me and has been for some time mental health, emotional health are very important to function day in day out, I too have had a tough life and have sought help in various ways.

So what's the idea behind cannabis and mental health, over the years I have met some of the sweetest and kindest individuals who are a part of the greater cannabis community. The suggestion is that we can help society connect a bit better while trying to find a cohesion among us that fits through the use of cannabis. Cannabis users are often the most accepting and loving people out there, sharing those powerful feelings provided by cannabis can be a huge advantage for humanity.

The other question is regarding whether or not people among the mentally ill can also find tremendous benefits from cannabis use for their own needs, for years here in the state of California during the medical era of cannabis one of the options on the questionnaire was depression and many have used that option when getting a medical card. From that bit of detail we know people have been using cannabis for this purpose and finding positive results.

Today's episode is looking into the article regarding new cannabis stores opening in New York, the governor of New York announced it's part of the plan to give back to the individuals within communities effect the most by the war on drugs. The amount of people who have suffered due to these laws are far too many for this initiative to satisfy. We are talking tens of thousands or more people over the course of decades.

So the details of the so called giveaway are in the podcast and will shed light on the fact that this doesn't go far enough to satisfy the very large number of individuals who have lost their enitre lives.

Yet it's a step closer to rectifying the wrongs of the past and may be the stepping stone to find new and innovative ways to give back to these communities who have been wronged for far too long.

Going deeper into the episode I recently spoke with a representative from Bank Card USA a payments processor, the company between you and the retailer for every single card transaction that takes place.

I had been refused service because of the nature of my products sold, nothing illegal but based on terms of service they could not offer me service anymore after 2017 nearly 6 years of history as legit retailer.

The rep insisted he can get me approved but I was reluctant you can learn more about the story behind this in the episode.

Happy Friday everyone todays Daily Dose is bringing you a short article talking about how kratom is helping yet another group of people with something very serious and it's called AUD an issue that 14.5 million people suffer from ages 12 and up. 

AUD stands for alcohol use disorder and has been a growing problem for years among young people.
