One of the most exciting parts of the NBA season has to be the return of fantasy basketball. This week Nic looks at some of his fantasy must haves.
These don’t always have to be the biggest or best players, but more so players who night in and night out are going to deliver consistent scores for your team. For example, Jalen Johnson is a great name for this… Scottie Barnes looks set to scorch this season too if people take a chance on him.
In addition to this, we also tackled some odds and ends from throughout the week. The Knicks losing a big name for the start of their campaign and Philly spending big to lock down Joel Embiid serving as real points to not here.

This week Nic wanted to look at the best without the bling... the best players in the NBA yet to win a ring in their careers thus far.
12 players were rattled off, going from least likely to most likely in terms of changing their ring status this season. The Mavs look to go one better than last season in their push to grant Luka his first ring, being of particular note.
We also had some Odds & Ends to discuss. This included Woj dropping his final 'bomb', as well as the Knicks rounding out their squad as the season start approaches.

We've got all focus on the upcoming season, but that's not to say we can't look further beyond that...The future looks bright (or maybe not) for some teams as we cast our eyes forward to how some of the league's young cores are poised at the moment.
Nic looked at some of the teams who have the most promising young guns at their disposal. With the Rockets being primed to be a force over the next decade.
On the opposite side of things, the future is looking quite bleak for a handful of other teams. The Suns look set to burn out, as their current core is ageing and their prospects to build around for the future are minimal.

Many teams have found out that the off season has many twists and turns... that often you win some, you lose some!
This week Nic looked at some of the teams that had both positive and negative moments this offseason. This included discussing are the Pelicans a title contending team, based on their offseason. In a positive they signed Dejounte Murray, but they also greatly compromised their big man stocks. Time will tell if they fair better or worse.
There also a bit of news to recap. Evan Fournier joining his next team, and Steph Curry securing the bag where of particular note.

After discussing some of the league's cornerstone players last week, Nic returned this time around with the Untouchables pt.2.
These players from their respective franchises shouldn't ever enter trade talks... They don't necessarily have to be the best player, but they're the player the franchise should be looking to build around. Paolo Banchero is absolutely that guy for the Magic.
We also looked at some of the other big talking points to come out of the basketballing world... with the question - should the league adopt the 4-point line?, being of particular interest.
Next week we'll be running a mailbag episode. So be sure to get all of those basketball or non basketball questions in, to be featured and answered on next week's show.

The NBA is a league of forever moving players... but some players are classified as the untouchables.
Nic this week cast a light on some of the league's most untouchable players. These players from their respective franchises shouldn't ever enter trade talks. Zion Williamson is one of those names. Nic made the case as to why he could be a dark horse MVP candidate.
There were also some notable talking points to come out of the week. This included Joe Harris announcing his retirement, and LeBron being LeBron at the Olympics.

With the Olympics reaching its final stages, all attention is now beginning to turn to the start of the 2024/2025 season... and with that, some of the players who are ready to ball out next season.
Nic this week took the chance to highlight 4 players who he thinks are set for big seasons with their respective teams. This Included the thought that Stormin Norman Powell could be set to take over, whilst Nic thinks Jimmy Butler could likewise be in for a big shift.
There was also plenty of other news to discuss from throughout the week. Lauri Markkanen staying in Utah and Deandre Ayton potentially being on the move were of particular note. The Warriors certainly missed a trick not getting Markkanen.

On this week's show, Nic returned to tackle his Western Conference season grades, off the back of doing the East last week.
For the 15 teams within the Conference, it was mixed fortunes. The Suns slide out of the playoffs resulted in their poor grading. Whereas the Rockets got a big pass mark after their regular season success.
These gradings always throw up contrasting opinions, so be sure to let me know via our socials, what I got right and what I got wrong.
