The days are quickly winding down til we have postseason basketball in our lives, therefore Nic and Row returned this week to discuss some of the teams that's season will be ending very shortly... and handing out some sympathy compliments to these teams.

There's already a number of teams whose seasons are rapidly drawing to a close so we thought it would be a great chance to chat about these teams and hand out some positivity to them. In the cases of the San Antonio Spurs, they should find solace in the fact that the only way is up for them. Whilst the front office of the Utah Jazz deserve a very big pat on the back.

We also looked at all the odds & ends from throughout the week, with a big point of discussion being the news that Ben Simmons had been shut down for the remainder of the season. Really starts to throw questions about the viability of him be a positive contributor within the league moving forward.

The countdown is well and truly on as most teams now have less than 10 regular season games to go. Hence the lads thought this would be a good opportunity to put forth their playoff wish lists.

We took the approach of suggesting teams and naming one thing that they need to fix or amend in order to catapult then into title contention. We tackled a heap of opportunities available for these teams, including the Grizzlies being able to curb Dillion Brooks enthusiasm for shooting and the Kings leaky defence.

The fellas also discussed some of the key talking points from throughout the week, notably how the Clippers are in choppy water due to the recent injury to Paul George. As well as the long awaited return of KAT to aid in the Wolves playoff push.

And there we have it, NBL season 2022/2023 officially comes to and end. With the Sydney Kings crowned champions once again.

In a thrilling game 5, the Kings were able to outlast a very gutsy NZ Breakers team, to be able to call themselves back to back champs. Tune in to hear all the fallout of this game as well as the All Time performance from Angus Glover, that was certainly a catalyst for their victory.

There has also been a heap of news from around the league as free agency begins to heat up. In particular with a lot of moving pieces surrounding the Tassie JackJumpers and their plans for the upcoming season. All hands were back on deck this week, as the lads discussed their players being slept on heading into the Playoffs.

We spoke about players we think could play a pivotal role in their teams fortunes, but probably dont't get the recognition they deserve... We looked at a few Phoenix players, as well as a newly acquired Laker.

The band was officially back together this week for another massive episode. With the team this week looking to tackle the play-in races for each conference, as things are starting to get very congested in the middle of the standings.

We discussed both conferences and selected the teams we think will be duking it out in the play-in matches as well as who our predicted eventual winners will be... This was extremely difficult as the standings are continuing to change day by day, thus is the importance of each game remaining.

Nic returned for another installment of our NBL focused show, this week discussing all the fallout from the first 2 games of the NBL Finals Series.

We tackled everything pertaining to the opening few games. This included multiple players needing to get the pickle juice due to severe cramping, as well as the trend of road teams continuing to nullify the home court advantage.

Odds and ends also featured. We spoke about the Taipans resigning head coach Adam Forde to a new deal, and the news that Xavier Cooks will be heading to the NBA with the Washington Wizards.

This week Nic took on the challenge of categorising all 30 teams within the league. Analysing whether they were contenders or pretenders based on what the remainder of their season could well look like…

We had 6 categories to try and fit all the teams from both the Eastern & Western Conference into, ranging from battling it out in the Wemby stakes, through to teams we believe are genuine title contenders.

There was also plenty of news to discuss from throughout the week. With some of the big topics being focused on LeBron going down injured at a less than ideal time for the Lakers. As well as a Dame masterclass earlier in the week vs the Rockets.

All-Star weekend has come and gone for another year! The opportunity serves as a great opportunity for not only us, but the NBA as a whole to hit the reset button and gear up for a huge last push towards playoff basketball.

After another chaotic week of NBL action, Nic returned to discuss all the highlights from week 2 of the NBL playoffs!

It was a tremendous week of action with both semi finals series heading to do or die game 3's.

The Kings were able to clutch up in an incredibly hard fought contest vs the Taipans, whilst in New Zealand, the Breakers were able to outmuscle the JackJumpers to send them to their first finals series in 7 years! Tune in to hear Nic's breakdown of both hotly contested series.

Before the finals kick off, the league will head into a weeks break as we enter the next batch of international fixtures. Rest assured though, Nic will return next week to give all of his analysis and predictions for the mouth watering finals matchup.
