  • 503 The Righteousness That Comes by Faith (Phil 3:8–9)

Wednesday, May 6th: In today’s episode of The Daily Grind, we explore Philippians 3 and the profound truth of righteousness by faith. Paul, once confident in his religious performance, comes to count it all as loss compared to knowing Christ. He describes a righteousness that’s not earned by keeping rules, but received by trusting Jesus.

This righteousness brings freedom from performance, shame, and fear. When you embrace it, you live from a place of peace—knowing that you’re fully accepted by God because of Jesus. This episode calls us to stop striving for God’s approval and rest in the finished work of Christ.

  • 502 Not I, But Christ (Gal 2:20)

Tuesday, May 6th: In this episode of The Daily Grind, we explore what it means to live by the phrase “Not I, But Christ” from Galatians 2:20. Paul tells us that he has been crucified with Christ, and that his old self is no longer the source of life—Christ is. We break down what it means to die to the false self, embrace the indwelling Christ, and live daily by faith, not flesh.

This episode unpacks how to surrender our will, walk by the Spirit, and trust that Jesus is not just an example we try to follow, but a presence we live from. The Christian life isn’t about striving to be better—it’s about Christ living in you. Today’s message is both freeing and empowering: you don’t have to be enough, because He already is.

  • 501 Christ in You, the Hope of Glory

Monday, May 5th: In today’s episode of The Daily Grind, we begin the second half of our series on the exchanged life by exploring the powerful phrase from Colossians 1:27: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” This isn’t religious poetry—it’s a stunning truth at the heart of the gospel. Jesus doesn’t just save you—He moves in. You’re not trying to follow a distant Savior—you’re learning to live from His life within you.

In this episode, we contrast the old way of religion with the new way of union with Christ. We wrestle with how someone as flawed as us could be the home of Christ—and we discover the beauty of grace. You’ll also hear three practical ways to live like Jesus really is in you: through continual communion, dependence on His strength, and trust in the slow work of transformation.

Christ in you—it’s the hope of glory, the power for today, and the anchor for tomorrow.

  • 499 Seated with Christ in the Heavenlies (Eph 2:4–7)

Thursday, May 1: Today on The Daily Grind, we explore one of the most breathtaking truths in all of Scripture: you are already seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. In Ephesians 2, Paul reminds us that because of God’s great love and mercy, we’re not just forgiven—we’re exalted. Being seated with Christ means your status is secure, your authority is established, and your perspective can shift to see life from heaven’s viewpoint.

But too often, we forget where we’re seated and live like we’re still stuck. In this episode, we unpack how to live rooted in our true position—praying with boldness, walking in peace, and anchoring ourselves in resurrection power.

Today’s encouragement: stop living like you’re fighting for God’s acceptance—you’re already sitting with Him.

  • 498 No Condemnation, No Separation (Rom 8:1–2, 8:31–39)

Wednesday, April 30th: In today’s episode of The Daily Grind, we dive into two of the most freeing truths in all of Scripture: no condemnation, and no separation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Drawing from Romans 8, we explore how the gospel silences shame, cancels fear, and anchors our hearts in a love that will never let us go. Even when we feel condemned, God’s verdict is final—and His grip on us is stronger than anything we face.

Living in this reality changes everything—from how we approach God, to how we love others. Today’s reminder: you’re safe, you’re loved, and nothing can separate you from Him.

  • 497 A New Creation (2 Cor 5:17)

Tuesday, April 29th: Today on The Daily Grind, we explore the amazing truth that when you trust in Christ, you become a new creation. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul tells us that the old is gone and the new has come. But even though we are made new in spirit, many of us still struggle with old patterns and mindsets. In this episode, we unpack the difference between self-improvement and resurrection, why we still wrestle with old habits, and how to live from our new identity in Christ.

The good news? You don’t have to earn this new identity—you already have it. You’re not a slightly better version of the old you. You’re brand new. Today’s encouragement: walk like the tomb is empty and the Spirit is alive in you.

  • 496 Buried and Raised with Christ (Rom 6:1–11, Col 2:12)

Monday, April 28th: Episode 1 of the new series In Christ, Christ in You, and the Exchanged Life kicks off with a foundational truth: you’ve been buried and raised with Christ. In Romans 6, Paul tells us that when we placed our faith in Jesus, we weren’t just given a new belief system—we were united with Jesus in His death and resurrection. That means the “old you”—the one ruled by sin, shame, fear, and performance—is dead and buried. And in its place stands someone new.

But many of us don’t feel new. We still struggle with sin, guilt, and old patterns. That’s why Paul tells us to “reckon” ourselves dead to sin but alive to God. We’re called to live from what’s already true, not what we feel. In this episode, we unpack how to let go of the old self, trust what God says is true, and walk in newness of life. Because resurrection isn’t just a moment in Jesus’ story—it’s the new normal for yours.

  • 495 He Calls You by Name: Resurrection and Real Hope (Jn 20)

Friday, April 25: In this powerful episode of The Daily Grind, John and Mariza dive into John chapter 20—the moment everything in the Gospel has been building toward. The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. But before the celebration begins, we find confusion, grief, doubt, and fear. Mary Magdalene is weeping, the disciples are hiding, and Thomas is questioning. Yet Jesus meets each person right where they are—with peace, with grace, and with purpose. He calls Mary by name, just like the Good Shepherd said He would. He breathes peace into fearful disciples and invites Thomas to touch His wounds rather than reject his doubts. John and Mariza reflect on how this chapter reveals a living hope—a hope that’s not based on having it all figured out, but on encountering the risen Christ personally. The resurrection isn't just an event to believe in—it's an invitation to follow a Savior who meets us in our fear, speaks peace into our hearts, and calls us by name. Whether you’re grieving, doubting, celebrating, or somewhere in between, this episode is for you.

  • 494 New Creation – Hope for the Future

Thursday, April 24: What if the resurrection wasn’t just about saving souls—but restoring creation? On this final episode of the post-Easter series, we look at how Jesus’ resurrection was the beginning of something massive: a new creation. A world where death is dethroned, injustice is undone, and all things are made new.

Revelation says Jesus is making “all things new”—not all new things. The resurrection means that what’s broken now won’t stay broken forever. And that gives us the courage to work for justice, to care for creation, to love our neighbors, and to build a better world in His name.

We’re not just waiting for heaven—we’re living out resurrection here and now.

The empty tomb isn’t just our hope for the end of the world—it’s our fuel for changing it.
