Salt and Light must come into contact with the world to be influential, salt is to preserve and light is to illuminate what is dark. If salt loses its flavor it is worthless, hence if we water down Christianity we make it worthless. We must remember, the world is naturally averse to the Christian way of life the world wants to pull us away from God from our creator it does not want us to abstain from all forms of immediate gratification and selfish pleasures. As Christians we must hold the line on righteousness, deliver the truth of the Word of God but do so without judging others because we too are sinners. Matthew 5:13-16 (NLT)
