Lebanese political life is very complicated. There are many political parties, militias, strange proportional voting systems, religious quotas and endless foreign interference. Lebanon is also a failed state. She has, unfortunately, reached fourth world status over the last five years. Lebanon's financial elites have fled the country, inflation has reached 300 percent and her debt is almost 200 percent of GDP.  As a condition for IMF “assistance,” the Lebanese Army must disarm Hezbollah.
