Blessed Divine Correction (Job 5:1–27). Who will we call upon to be our mediator in the darkness? God catches the wise like Eliphaz who are reaching beyond their supposed wisdom (1 Cor 1:25,27). All the benefits of religiosity Eliphaz dangles, Job has already forfeited.

Craving Stillborn Birthday (Job 3:1–26). In desperation Job wants to control over his birth, to be able to curse the past. Is God only useful if my self-fulfillment project is achieved? Job falsely claims the blessings of death, the same delusion of suicide: there is no peace, no nothing.
