Luke 6 focuses on Jesus’ authority and His teachings about living as His followers. Jesus declares Himself Lord of the Sabbath, heals on the Sabbath, calls the twelve apostles, and ministers to the multitudes. He then teaches the Beatitudes, warns against worldly satisfaction, commands us to love our enemies, challenges us not to judge others, and teaches that our lives should bear good fruit. The chapter closes with the powerful lesson of building our lives on the solid foundation of Jesus’ words.
