On today’s episode we have our 17-year-old cousin Daniella and her mom Leah dysh on mental health days for youth. Daniella shares the stress and anxiety a student feels during high school. Leah reflects on the new pressures social media presents for kids. Daniella believes there is not enough time for students to connect with mental health councillors and there is a lack of training for the teachers at the front line. Has the “suck it up” mentality and fear of stigma led to youth taking mental health days?
