In this study, we examine the theology of Jehovah’s Witnesses in light of Scripture. We look at their understanding of Jesus, salvation, authority, resurrection, and the role of the Governing Body — comparing key Watchtower teachings with the historic Christian gospel.

Our aim is not division, but biblical discernment — speaking truth with clarity and charity, always pointing back to the finished work of Christ.

What did giving actually look like in the Old Testament? Was it simply a rigid 10% rule—or something richer?

In this study, we walk through a “year in the life” of an Israelite under the law and then follow that thread into the New Testament. From temple sacrifices to gospel partnership, from calendar-based tithes to Spirit-led generosity, we explore how giving moves from obligation under law to overflow under grace.

Many of us know the Christmas story by heart — but how much comes directly from Scripture, and how much from tradition?

In this study, we slow down and read Luke 2 carefully, distinguishing between what the text says and what we’ve assumed. The goal isn’t to dismiss tradition, but to grow in reading Scripture attentively and faithfully.

In this second installment of a four-part series, we examine the origins and teachings of Mormonism (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Beginning with Joseph Smith’s first vision and the Book of Mormon, we trace the historical development of the movement and its restoration claims. We then compare core LDS doctrines—God, Jesus Christ, salvation, exaltation, priesthood authority, and scripture—with the historic Christian gospel. Our goal is not argument but discernment: to understand Mormonism accurately, speak with charity, and evaluate every teaching in light of Scripture.

Where do Catholic and Protestant convictions align—and where do they diverge in ways that affect the clarity of the gospel?

Our goal is not argument but discernment: to understand Catholic doctrine on its own terms, affirm what is true and beautiful, and evaluate every teaching in light of Scripture. Truth and grace together.

At first glance, Leviticus 14 reads like instructions for dealing with mold in a house. But what if it’s revealing something deeper? In this study, we trace the cleansing of a defiled house and explore its spiritual parallels—conviction, confession, examination, repentance, renewal, and ultimately restoration. From the removal of diseased stones to the ritual of the two birds, we see a pattern of how God exposes, purifies, and restores what He intends to dwell in. Holiness is not about condemnation, but about making room again for His presence.

What does it really mean to call Jesus “Lord”? This study traces the biblical language behind God (Elohim), LORD (Yahweh), and Lord/Master (Adonai), following the thread from Job through the Old Testament and into the New. Along the way, we explore how the early Christians applied Yahweh-texts to Jesus and what “Lord” meant in their world—covenant allegiance, authority, surrender. The question isn’t just whether we believe in God, but whether we can say with Thomas: “My Lord and my God.”

What does the Bible actually teach about hell and final judgment? In this study, we trace Scripture’s language—Gehenna, eternal punishment, destruction, the lake of fire, and the second death—to understand the final horizon clearly and honestly. We compare Eternal Conscious Torment and Conditional Immortality, listen to Jesus and the apostles, and ask how judgment should shape our worship, repentance, and hope in Christ.

Is heaven the goal?

Many assume the Christian hope is simply “going to heaven.” In this study, we trace the biblical story from death to resurrection, exploring what it truly means to be with Christ and why the final hope is not disembodied existence, but new creation.

They reflect my effort to study Scripture in community, drawing from the broader Christian tradition while encouraging listeners to be Bereans—testing everything against the Word of God. Confidence in tone does not equal final authority; the goal is thoughtful, faithful engagement with Scripture together.
