How fast do you contact a new lead?
If someone fills in a form and you wait days before getting back to them, there is a good chance they have already forgotten who you are. The longer you leave it, the colder that lead gets.
Speed to lead matters.
Even if someone has booked a call themselves, it still helps to confirm the booking, send a WhatsApp or make contact so they know who you are and what happens next. That small bit of communication can build trust before the conversation even starts.
And one contact is not enough.
A lead is someone who has already put their hand up and shown interest. You still need to phone, follow up, email, WhatsApp and stay in front of them until they are ready to buy.

Busy doing everything except selling?
It is incredibly easy to spend time on the things that feel productive. A new laptop, a better website, new equipment, business cards, another bit of software.
But none of that replaces generating leads.
Marketing, selling and following up are usually the harder jobs, which is exactly why business owners often find something else to do instead. Calling it perfectionism does not change the fact that the important work is still being avoided.
Focus on what actually moves the business forward.
Generate the lead, follow it up, stay in contact and give that person enough reasons to eventually buy. The lead is only the first link in a much longer sales chain.

Do you feel guilty taking time off? When you run a business, there is always something else you could be doing. Another client issue, another job, another task that makes you feel like you should be working.
But constantly working comes with a cost. If you never switch off, your brain never really gets space to recover. And sometimes it is only when you finally step away that the best ideas start showing up.
One day off is not going to ruin your business. What can hurt you is never properly recovering and slowly getting more tired, less focused and less effective without even noticing it. A proper break can mean coming back on Monday with far more energy. If your business only works when you are constantly switched on, it might be worth looking at the systems underneath it. Scared to post because of what people might say?
That fear is more common than most business owners admit. You know you need to post content, run ads and stay visible, but one negative comment can suddenly make you question everything.
The bigger risk is letting that stop you.
If you hold back every time you worry about criticism, your business becomes quieter. No content, no ads, less visibility and fewer chances for the right people to find you.
Not every comment deserves your energy.
Some people will disagree. Some will be rude. Some are simply having a bad day and looking for somewhere to aim it. You still need to keep showing up.
If fear of criticism is stopping you from marketing your business properly, book a free 15-minute call with me.

There are two types of Facebook campaign and they do completely different jobs. Most business owners run one of them and then wonder why the leads never turn up.
In this livestream I explain what each type actually does, how Facebook decides who to show your advert to in each case, and which one you should be running for your business.
I also go through the third campaign that most people never set up at all, what it really costs to do this properly, and why plenty of accounts burn hundreds of pounds a day without ever standing a chance.
If you're running Facebook ads and wondering why it isn't working, this one is for you.
Facebook Ads, done for you https://daniellatto.co.uk/fbads/
One of our clients runs a mobile valeting business. Their adverts went live on the Monday, and by Wednesday they had 16 leads at £1.34 each.
In this one I go through what that campaign was actually doing, why local targeting made the difference, and the three things you have to get right before any of it works.
I also cover what they were spending a day, why we run these on Meta rather than Facebook alone, and one detail about how Facebook was performing at that point that makes the result better than it first looks.
If you run a mobile valeting business, or anything local where you turn up and do the job, this is the approach. https://daniellatto.co.uk/mobile-valeting-marketing/
Most business owners pay good money for leads, then leave them sitting for days.
I call it the Dead Zone. The longer you leave a lead, the deader it gets. Alex Hormozi works to a 60 second speed to lead time. Grant Cardone has talked about firing people who don't hit it. Meanwhile I'm on calls with clients telling me they haven't rung anyone yet.
In this livestreamI go through what actually happens when you don't reply, how the lead is lost and why.
I also cover the automation side, so you can automate some of the process and the follow up part.

The five things every business needs in place before spending a penny on Facebook ads
Too many Businesses blame Facebook or Google when their campaigns don't work. But most of the time, the real problem started before the ads were ever switched on.
There are five things I'd want sorted first.
The offer needs to be worth advertising. The landing page needs one clear job. You need a proper conversion mechanism, follow-up that turns leads into money, tracking that tells you whether the numbers actually make sense.
And there's one more thing people forget.
You also need the capacity to handle the leads, enough proof for cold traffic to trust you, and enough patience to give the campaign a proper runway.
If those pieces aren't in place, paid ads can become a very expensive way to discover problems you already had.
If you're about to run ads, or you're already spending and wondering where the money is going, book a free 15-minute call.

Is your marketing too inconsistent?
A lot of businesses jump from one thing to another. Facebook ads do not work quickly enough, so they stop them. Then they try Google Ads, email, content or SEO for a while before moving on again.
**The problem is usually not that every channel failed.
The stronger approach is to have several things working together at the same time. Paid ads, organic content, email, SEO, referrals and outreach can all play a part in keeping your business visible.
Consistency is what builds momentum.
Someone might see a Facebook ad, watch one of your videos, find you on Google and then finally get in touch weeks later. You may never know which individual touch caused the enquiry, because it was the combination that built familiarity and trust.
If your marketing keeps stopping and starting and you want to build a more consistent system for generating leads, book a free 15-minute call with me.

A brief behind-the-scenes look at what's actually happening inside the Digital Marketing Agency this week.
I'm going to quickly walk through SOME of the live client work:
Four new landing pages going into production
Two brand new Facebook ads clients coming on board, and what their first steps look like
A campaign we've switched to client-side after it brought in too many people wanting to become franchisees, and how we're shifting the campaigns to new customers instead.
A client who pulled 98 leads in the last four weeks, so now we're tightening his qualification process to handle the volume
If you want to see how digital marketing could work for you in 2026, this is it.
