The English are Coming!

In this episode, the Danish American Studies Podcast is branching out and getting help from English Studies: Our guests are Lukas and Kristina who are English Studies students, and who wrote their BA projects about video games and memes! Lukas’s project focused on second language learning using video games in Danish high schools, and Kristina’s project focused on meme culture and the portrayal of feminism in memes on social media. February is Black history month! 

In this podcast episode, we discuss the origin and the reason for having a whole month dedicated to Black history. We are discussing its significance in the U.S. and the pitfalls of having a Black history month. We have decided that an important topic of this year's Black history month will be a discussion of Black Lives Matter and the civil rights era, and put it into perspective of Black Americans' continued struggle for justice in the U.S.
