The David Lee Martin Show - Holy Ghost Encouragement For Christian Creatives

I was made to be a Maker.

Created to create.

Shaped to shape the world with words,

Called for now and won’t be late.

Being present in the present is sometimes a challenge. The propensity to exist in the past, either glorying in what was or lamenting what could have been, or getting lost in the future, always pining for what might be, keeps so many of us locked out of the wonder of now.

The magnificent Creator Himself lives inside you waiting to be called upon, and invited to partner in your creative projects.

ART = ACT ON

What’s missing here?

I must put myself at the very centre, where I’m vulnerable and exposed if my ART is ever to find its fire.

The thinking that brought you thus far is inadequate to lift you to the next level. What’s the key that cracks the lock and opens the door to a greater future?

Whatever you are holding onto is holding you. What small reward we settle for when fear keeps us bound; Fear of loss, fear of being different, fear of failure, fear of rejection. These imposters seek to keep us lowly thinking, bound in a white-knuckled life.

Your creative capacity and your fruitfulness in this life and beyond are prepared by your Papa. You have something to say! Don’t let Insecurity, Perfectionism, Pride, or Shame prevent you.

How many unsung songs have been heard only by four lonely walls?How many pictures unhung, or poems consigned to the pages of a dog-eared notepad?

Do not these fragrant petals of creativity deserve their day in the sunlight where they can fulfil their purpose and be heard, seen, and appreciated?

Our God is the Creative Genius!

You are bigger on the inside than out. Your creative output invites people to step inside and explore the vast expanse of your inner world.

Exploring your creative calling and gifts will unfold continual surprises. All too often people give up before they hit the gusher.

Keep making, keep painting, keep playing, keep singing, keep sewing...
