In case you have been wondering where I have been, I have been busy dying. I'm only partially kidding. It turns out I have been under a lot of stress over the past few months, and it has taken its toll on my health. After getting terminated from my high-paying job in May of 2023, I went through a four-month job search. When I finally did land a gig, it turned out to be even more stressful than being unemployed. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and I am now a diabetic.

Even my beloved Paleo Diet is not sustainable. I only recently realized that even though I have been unable to maintain it for some years now. Even though I don't know anyone who still eats paleo. No one! Not even one of my Paleo guru mentors who I admired and look up to (is still do). When I learned that she, the author of one of the best Paleo books out there, had given it up, I knew I was also done.

The other night when the nightly news talked about the school shooting in Uvalde, it brought tears to my eyes but not for the obvious reasons that come with the murder of 19 children.
