Using bible scriptures as the anchor,  Ephesians 4:25-31 and Matthew 5:21-22 remind us to control our tongues, as words can defile and hurt others. Let’s discuss how insults shape relationships, body image, and mental health, often disguised as concern. Words matter—let’s use them wisely!

Our understanding of love is shaped by societal and cultural influences, often embedding harmful ideas of love rooted in trauma, codependency, and unrealistic expectations. By embracing a counter-narrative rooted in God's love—selfless, patient, and all-encompassing—we can redefine our understanding of love.

This love is not self-serving but is extended to others simply for their humanity. It calls for a decolonized approach to Christianity, one that rejects the misuse of faith for control and instead emphasizes community, hospitality, and genuine care. In this way, our messy, flawed love can be made perfect through God's grace.

For example, Paul, once a terror to Christians, became a vessel for God's glory. Similarly, Moses' journey, driven by love for his people, showcases how God uses our origins and passions for his purpose. From shepherd to king, David's roles highlight how God shapes us through different seasons. Every part of our journey, including weaknesses, is essential when surrendered to God. This process transforms our lives, allowing God's plans to flourish beyond our control. Embracing God's timing and relinquishing the illusion of control leads to assurance and clarity. I hope this helps you on your journey of surrendering.

God's breath gives us life, intertwining our existence with His. Retracing my origin story is challenging as the world teaches me to tie my identity to achievements. I am unlearning and relearning to shift this story to giving my existence value because I am rather than my accomplishments and accolades. Born in Igbo land, Nigeria, my identity is rooted in God's image, breath, and word. John 1:1-5 highlights the divine connection between our words and God's Word. This first episode aims to explore authenticity through a social justice lens, addressing fears of inadequacy and embracing growth. Fostering conversations that merge faith, spirituality and decolonization, creating a space for boldness, rest, and learning.
