9/11 was a touchstone moment. It defined our country for a time, and in some ways it defines the world for Steph’s generation. In this Episode, Steph and Beth have an honest conversation about how 9/11 challenged and changed some of their perceptions, while also stirring up their patriotism. Steph reads an excerpt from her book where she talks about what it was like to have a brother in the Air Force, deployed to Afghanistan in the wake of the 9/11 attack. Together they wonder if they’ve talked about 9/11 enough and they consider what they could say. They even delve into the question: Did God make the 9/11 attack happen?
