Freimuth discusses his long industry career, spanning the photofinishing, graphic arts, and digital imaging, with companies including Pako Corp., Fuji Photo Film USA, Presstek and now Tracer Imaging. In particular, Freimuth talks about how different photo companies in the 1990s and 2000s responded to the digital challenge and the on-going intersection of the graphics industry with photo/imaging.

Tracer Imaging, founded in 2004, is one of the countries leading lenticular printers, providing services to commercial markets and consumers (through retail partners).

Tracer Imaging recently launched a web-based interface the Express Solutions interface allowing everyday users to quickly and easily upload their own images to create a lenticular print using several of the most popular lenticular effects (Flip, Zoom, or Flip/Zoom), the company said.

Gary Pageau of the Dead Pixels Society talks with Michael Warshall, chairman of Australia's EMOTION Photography. Featured last year in the Dead Pixels Society, EMOTION Photography is a digital-first operation built around the belief the customer – in this case, brides – would prefer to hire a photographer with immediate access to images, as well as the understanding there are photographers willing to be paid a flat rate to photograph a wedding. The entire process is handled through a mobile app. EMOTION Wedding Photography was started by industry veterans Michael Warshall, Vittorio Natoli and Peter Meyers.

In this episode, Warshall discusses his company's customer-driven approach to wedding photography, how the company has adapted its services based on customer feedback, the decision to automate the entire process and trends in the wedding business.

At 18, Nichols wrote "Blatantly Honest," a best-selling book about her battle with body issues, bullying and sexual assault. From there, she started the Blatantly Honest Foundation to "change the stigma behind bullying and other social issues by educating the public, encouraging students to share their stories and to become Blatantly Honest in their own lives."

In addition to educational resources and talks on bullying, body image, mental health and more, Blatantly Honest conceived the Moon Missio, a program to help today’s youth take part in mission planned for 2021 and send their image into space. School Photographers of America was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic when the entire United States closed down schools in March of 2020.  With no school picture days and the country in a financial crisis, health pandemic and with unemployment at a historic high, Crandall (then a Strawbridge Studios Inc. sales executive) had a vision to rally the industry to protect all school photographers' copyrights and raise awareness of our industry, as so many small businesses were being left behind by government aid.

Gary Pageau welcomes back Brenda DiVincenzo, vice president of member success, at the IPI Member Network. Brenda shares the latest changes to the IPIC Conference. Now in a virtual format, the Aug. 23-26 "Breakthrough" conference will have many of the features of the IPI annual convention, but now through the Whova app. Attendees will be able to watch sessions as they happen and engage in online discussions and social activities.

The event focuses on topics that will grow sales, increase profits, reduce costs, streamline operations and create traffic for IPI retailers, labs and members. Topics should be introduced and emphasized by the use of storytelling and specifics should be relayed in the form of interactive and demonstration methods.

The people who attend IPIC represent a wide range of industry roles.
