I recently sat down with Evan Dimov, the owner of Too Much Sauce in Orlando to talk about adversity in life and how you can overcome it. We talked about how his dad passed away when he only 4 years old and how he later found out he had dyslexia. However, despite being dealt what most would call “a bad hand”, he still made his way to America, learned English, and become a successful business owner - even selling one of his businesses to Party City. In life, either you can use what has happened to you as an excuse to complain, or you can use it as motivation to fuel you on your journey to success. The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988 when Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at Bois de Boulogne, asking them to dress in white so they could find each other. Since then, the event's presence has grown to over 70 cities, with almost 15,000 gathering for the 25th-anniversary event in Paris. Everyone wants results, but results take time. I often hear people complain about not wanting to do something because it will “take a lot of time”. Well, you will likely be here for that time so why not spend it closer to your goals. If you want to make a career out of something you need to be willing to put in the time and energy to make that possible. It shouldn’t be easy. I mean think about what you’re asking the universe to do for you. Hopefully this episode helps at least ONE person change their mindset enough to make a lasting impact on the world.
