Join us for another chapter in our Genesis sermon series, continuing with Genesis chapter 34. verses 1-31. This chapter is one of the darkest chapters in the Bible. When Jacob’s daughter Dinah is raped, her brothers Simeon and Levi retaliate with deceit and mass murder. There’s no mention of God. No redemption arc. Just a painful unraveling of a family that has strayed from God’s presence.

We'll look at why this story is included in the book of Genesis as well as other questions such as how does reversing God’s design for marriage lead to ruin? What does it mean that Jacob stopped 30 miles short of where God told him to go? Why does moral vulnerability often follow spiritual breakthroughs? How does unchecked anger, even when “righteous,” lead to devastating sin? What does true justice looks like?
