Defo and Lubie go ALL IN on the NBA Playoffs today after their hometown Miami Heat took a 2-0 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers.  Plus Luka Doncic was spectacular once again, to only see his Mavs fall to the Chris Paul led Phoenix Suns.

They wonder is the Miami Heat hitting their stride?  They also ask if James Harden has anything left?

Defo and Lubie were recovering from a rough Florida Panthers lost, as the Cats opened as the #1 seed in all of the NHL and lost 4-2 to the Capitals.  The Panthers for the first time all season gave up a lead entering the 3rd period.  This gave Defo and Lubie the feeling that as much as this regular season felt different, the Panthers are still the same old franchise.

Plus They talked about the Miami Heat taking on the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of their Second Round series.

Defo and Lubie had their weekly chat with NFL Agent Brett Tessler, he talked about his interest, or lack thereof in the USFL.  He also got more into next week's NFL Draft, from an agent's perspective.

Brett talked about the types of discussions he will have with coaches in the days leading up to the draft. He also discussed the type of feedback he gives coaches on the players he represents.

Defo and Lubie were loving the action packed weekend of NBA Playoffs.  The Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, and Philadelphia 76ers all were dominant to start the playoffs.  The Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks struggled but found ways to win as the favorites.  

Plus the Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off the biggest stunner of the weekend, as the 7th seed in the Western Conference, beating the 2nd seeded Memphis Grizzlies 130-117.  The NBA Playoffs mvoe to game to Monday night, Defo and Lubie talked about it all, plus a fun-filled weekend for the Florida Panthers and Miami Marlins.

They hope everyone had a Happy Easter, and is having a good Passover.

Defo and Lubie have dubbed each Friday a DEGENERATE FRIDAY, where they have their favorite handicappers on the show to give their favorite plays of the weekend.

One of those such handicappers is the Professor Ken Jacobsen, who is a tremendous college football handicapper.  The Professor has created something he calls THE PROFESSOR'S BIG BOARD TOP 5, he picks something each week to mock in hilarious fashion.  

This week he has honed in on interesting music festivals in honor of South Florida's Country Music Festival Tortuga, which took place Friday 4/8/22 - Sunday 4/10/22 on the Fort Lauderdale, FL beach.

The Professor is a HUGE fan of pushing the envelope, he truly embraces it!

Defo and Lubie are excited to see the NBA and NHL Playoffs get underway.  This week has featured the NBA's version of the NCAA Tournament, the PLAY-IN GAMES.  This was instituted during the height of the COVID pandemic, and has stuck in the seasons after.  The bad, it may leave the #1 seed with less preparation time for their opponent.  However, the good seems to far outweigh that minor inconvenience for the #1 seed.

Defo and Lubie are ready for the NBA Playoffs after the opening night of NBA play-in games.  They have been rooting on their hometown Miami Heat all season long; and were relieved to see the Brooklyn Nets clinch a spot as the 7th seed.  That saves the Heat from facing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the 1st Rd of the playoffs.   They wonder if the Nets can take out the 2nd seeded Boston Celtics in their upcoming playoff series?!  Also they question who the Heat WILL face, and who they would RATHER the Heat play in the 1st Round?!

They also talked about the winning Florida Panthers who are now tied with the Colorado Avalanche for the top spot in all of the NHL.   The Cats got an exciting win Tuesday night over the Anaheim Ducks in overtime to get to that 110 point total matching the Avalanche.

TODAY Defo and Lubie have a Peel Yourself Off the Mat Monday, in reality this Monday is one of energy!  This was a weekend full of Spring sports action.  Tiger was unable to stay in contention in the Masters, but Scottie Scheffler was dominant in his fir Major victory.

The NBA Playoffs are ALMOST set, as the play-in games tip-off tonight!  The Nets have been all the rage as a possible surprise in the East, they have to get past the upstart Cavs.  Plus they discuss the idea of winning no matter what, over flirting with tanking?!

Also the MLB season is underway, it was interesting for the hometown Marlins who traveled out West to take on the playoff competitor San Francisco Giants.  The Fish took it on the chin 1-2 in the series but showed fight losing both games by 1 run.
