I laid down my plans of having my Ph.D before I hit 30 only to teach children at a small school. During my first year of marriage, my husband and I shared a living space with four roommates while he pursued his degree all while living off of $18k per year. Traveling back home to Mississippi to spend time with my family for a week and a half was interesting—to say the least! I intended on resting, eating some good food, and spending unlimited amount of time with family. Instead, I received perspective that radically changed how I view God's love, an encounter with an Australian Cattle dog that will stick with me forever, and confirmation that being called to break generational curses is God's way of dealing "bountifully" with me.
