In this episode of The Dementia Podcast, Bruce is joined by Magda Tsolaki, Professor of Neurology and founder of the Greek Alzheimer Association. Magda founded the Greek Alzheimer Association in 1995 and has since founded the Greek Federation of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) in 2007. She has given more than 656 lectures throughout Greece and has participated in more than 60 funded research programmes and 31 funded clinical trials. In total, she has received 73 awards. Magda is a highly successful researcher, author and public speaker and we are so excited to have her as a guest on this episode!

In this episode of The Dementia Podcast, Bruce is joined by long term partner and good friend Laura Dabas, Membership Manager and Membership Department Programme Leader at Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI).

ADI is the International Federation of Alzheimer and dementia Associations around the world, with 105 member associations caring for people with dementia, their carers and their families. We have worked with Laura since the conception of our app, Memory Lane Games, connecting with associations to support those living with dementia and their loved ones. 

Bruce and Laura discuss the impact which Memory Lane Games has had globally, in particular our partnership with Alzheimer's Disease Association of the Philippines. With 23,000 downloads in the Philippines and growing, and 150 games on Filipino cities, music and culture, ADI has supported the reach of Memory Lane Games beyond borders. 

Excitingly, Laura goes on to share news about this years 35th Global conference of Alzheimer's Disease International, which will be happening on the 9 - 11th June, in London and online. Organised every 2 years, this conference brings together people with dementia, their carers, volunteers, staff from Alzheimer's associations, researchers and government representatives. This will be ADI's first hybrid event and will focus on a variety of topics including innovation in post diagnostic care.
