The Denims

The Big 3 are asking for a loan to keep from going out of business. Congress is asking for them to change their ways first. I am with Congress on this one. The Obama Transition Office has released much of its agenda, and it is the most GLBT-friendly ever. Now, We The People must ensure that it happens! Comments from listeners. Be sure to check out my interview with Phil Putnam next week. I get very political and talk about a first-hand experience (my partner's) with a hospital emergency room, and why we need universal, single-payer health coverage. After that, I spend the rest of the episode reading and responding to emails, comments, iTunes reviews, and a voicemail. Many thanks to everybody who comments and who has reviewed me. Keep it coming! :-) Best wishes also to everybody who will be protesting against the passage of California's Prop 8, as well as all of the anti-marriage amendments that have been passed in all states. Keep it peaceful, keep it clean, and let's make a difference! If you thought your last job application was hard, check out what it takes to get a job with the incoming Obama administration. Let this erase any doubt that somebody has been taking notes...

As a followup to the Bay City House Tour, I take you on a tour of The Partner's cottage in Cheboygan, Michigan, and we meet a local cutie while we are at it! Intro Music: "Deep Cycle Discharge" by Podsafe Music Network artists Simon James and Derek K. Miller Thanks for watching, and stay powerful!

We said we could and we did! I'm happy that we elected Barack Hussein Obama the 44th President of the United States. I decided to write a letter to President-Elect Obama (a former podcaster, by the way) and deliver it in podcast form. Come share my "Yes we can" list. This will be my last podcast before Election Day. If you have not already voted in early voting, get out there and vote on November 4. And don't forget: democracy requires that we not go to sleep after November 4. If we want to see change, we have to make it happen. Nobody is going to do it for us. And for a bit of fun, I got a last-minute Podcaster Quote of the Week! Music Today: "Preacherman" by Podsafe Music Network collaborative O---Yeah! The book club met again on Sunday, October 26, 2008 with Kenny and me, joined by author Drew Ferguson. Drew, Kenny, and I discuss current events, politics, growing up gay, oh, and we do mention his fabulous book The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second a couple of times! It was a pleasure working with Kenny and Drew, and I know you are going to enjoy the fruits of our labor! Democracy works if we work it. If we want to see change happen, our participation in democracy can not begin and end on November 4. We The People must make sure that we make it happen. The book club met on Sunday, October 20,2008. Present were Kenny, the Listner Who Knew Me When and I. Holly was somewhere else and never joined us, so we decided to go forward. We discuss Drew Ferguson's book The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second, and we go off on more than one tangent. Basically, it was two friends having a lot of fun on a podcast, and we know you will enjoy it! What happens if nobody gets 270 electoral votes on November 4? A letter from a listener provides the inspiration for this week's episode.Feel free to correct me on my facts, because I'm not a lawyer. The book club will be starting on October 19. We got delayed because Fairy Princess Holly had the audacity to turn a year older last week. How dare she? We will be recording tomorrow night, and it's still not too late to fill my slots!
