As Luca explains, one of the best parts of the Fort Wayne weekend was the USA vs. Canada dinner. Luca grabbed Josh and told him how much he liked the podcast, and of course Josh pulled the trigger. What he doesn't know is how excited WE were to be able to interview someone who has been so influential in growing the sport.

Three years ago Drew told his story to Cody Beekman on Cody’s podcast “On the Bench With Beeks.”  Well, we turned the tables on Drew and forced his time on the hot seat.  Drew takes us through his journey through sight loss and finding blind hockey.  We take another journey through the creation of the podcast and the showdown.  We talk about Drew’s motivations for the creation of the Showdown and the podcast as well as getting our chances to take jabs at Drew.  And if you know all of us, the only person that would have subtitled Drew’s episode “I’m here for the hockey” is the only person humble enough to not play in his own tournament, then write ad copy for his own episode “I’m here for the hockey.”  We love you Drew, but it’s so much more than that.

The Dented Puck would not be around without Cody Beekman. As you'll find out when we touch base with Cody on the podcast just around two years since his actions led to the birth of this podcast. Cody talks about getting into hockey, his perspective on overcoming adversity and life in general, and his love of the Colorado Avalanche. Cody is the host of On the Bench with Beeks, a hockey podcast highlighting interesting stories from around the world of hockey. Cody is also a recipient of Dawg Nation, and a major reason Dawg Nation has become so involved with blind hockey. It was Cody who planted the seed, making him THE GERMINATOR.
