  • Summer Starts Now
Technically summer starts at midnight but we want to kick it off early.  We'll run through some summer jams.  They'll span the genres.  Classics and new specials.
Pull out your beach towel and throw it right there on the carpet in your living room, put your hands behind your head, lay-back and enjoy.

  • Dylan Session #2
It's a frequently untapped vein in the Dylan gold mine  . . . his humor
We're gonna lay down five properly comedic Dylan songs, with perhaps the best line of all coming right at the end of Black Diamond Bay. Tune in to see why we think Dylan's wit ain't half frigging bad. Also, if you have a favorite Dylan song with a humorous element, send us the name of it and a quick synopsis of the comedy, and we might play it as the final song.

  • BOWIE
Iconoclastic, eccentric, sexy, gay, unstable, imaginative, groundbreaking, self-involved, brilliant.
David Jones, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane.
Regardless of all the descriptions that have been ascribed to Bowie over the years, one thing's for sure, the man produced a plethora of quality music.
Bowie is one of rock's most intriguing figures. Polarizing and odd yet sensational, his music withstood the test of time and now has passed into that honored category of innovative.
For people born in the 80s, we can only access Bowie by combing through his albums. How sweet would it have been to catch a live show during his pop explosion? We can only imagine.
Well, during this show, we'll spend some time exploring Bowie from the perspective of a couple of thirty year olds. While we can't claim carnal knowledge, we can certainly admire the scene, with the Code man as your tour guide.

  • File now... before it's too late!
Whether you have taken care of business and gotten your taxes all finished up months in advance, or if you're like most of us cramming all night to get your taxes filed, tune-in and enjoy some exploration of how those musically inclined deal with Uncle Sam nabbing his fair share.
Many come across like our lovely Treasury Secretary determined to avoid the tax bill, others lobby to hand over more and more.  Regardless we'll sit back and have some fun putting you in the the 1040 mood.
    Happy April 15th!!!!

  • Widespread Phish, Dead!
Widespread Phish, Dead. Try to PANIC! but in a good way...  Stay Greatful and saddle-up warrior poets! Those who love to ride jump on your ponies and enjoy!
Two special guests infiltrate the Denver Cellar and share their love of two bands who epitomize the "jam" genre.  Our favorite teacher, Mr. Dawkins, who is still representing at the ol' alma mater, and the Joe the Denver to NYC transplant with close 100 live panic shows under his belt team up to give us a ride with Casey Jones on the Climb to Safety.  Nols will peer outta the Farmhouse to throw in his two cents.
The Grateful Dead started it, Widespread Panic and Phish have carried the torch.
We're going to dig deep; get into some long tracks and mind blowing transitions. We'll explore personal experiences of epiphany and “wow” that can occur when you hear these guys rock n’ roll!

  • Will Peyton Pay Off?
It was the biggest free agent signing in Broncos history.
    I applauded.
    Then I booed.
Many fans enjoyed a moment of pure bliss, some experienced a mix of excitement and disappointment, while others were hoping that they would wake up from a bad dream.
Let's be real, the majority of fans were mostly excited about the possibility of being a legit contender in the next two years.
This move, however, does contain significant risk and will be a great forum for 90 minutes lively Broncos banter.
    All opinions welcome.

  • SXSW Voyage
We all know that Austin is a hot-bed for live music. This time of year, the coal bed gets stirred and the fresh oxygen gets things fricking hot. The SXSW festival brings in a ridiculous amount of musicians and the talent level is not wonting, it is a competitive venue.
We've got an insider that's been able to soak up this scene for several years and he's gonna help us sort through the assortment of talent.
Nols and myself are definite outsiders, with no actual experience. Being music junkies though, we will play virtual SXSW and drool over the prospect of seeing some of this live. We'll delve into what would be bands that we tried not to miss. As we understand it, it's easy to miss good shows at this thing because you can not be everywhere at once. Physics says so.
Alright, the B-man is running this show. Side note, Ethan Hawke's intense gaze is getting old. It's good comedy these days.

    Sonny and Cher
    Meatloaf and Patti Russo

Duets can go poorly, or they can go well. Sometimes, they go so poorly that they end up being classics, see Meatloaf. Sometimes, they just suck, see Sonny and Cher.
We're going to play with the Duet. It's a long standing tradition in music and is ripe for exploration.
Join us as we feature our selected duets. Let us know if you think they're proper duet material or belong in the Sonny and Cher bin.
