In time, Phil Anselmo fills his shoes and finishes the album they had been recording.

In 1997, 18 months after having dropped the double LP, Load, Metallica did the unthinkable, they dropped a second double LP entitled Reload.

Though these albums were intended to be a single project, they eventually became two.

In 1999, Ed Hunter is an in production video game that hastily shows Blaze Bayley his exit from Iron Maiden because they got offered too much money to reunite with Bruce Dickinson.

Bayley had a career both before and after Iron Maiden.

Jim Morrison died on July 3rd, 1971. What many fans of the band didn't know is that at the time, the rest of the band were Stateside working on what was going to be the follow up to L.A. Woman in the hopes that Jim would return from Paris to complete it.

He never did and the rest of the band carried on without him, at first all together, and later separate.

Here Nik and Duncan take in the last time the Doors entered into a studio in order to record an album. (An American Prayer features Jim's vocals...so it doesn't count.)
