Collectively, we shared our mental health before and during optometry school. From anxiety to excitement we detailed our emotions from the whole 4 year experience. We shared some coping techniques for students undergoing the process and wanted to share our thoughts from the past with others who have had similar experiences.

This week the Depth Perception team discusses with Dr. Sherene Vazhappilly, about experiences she has had in eyecare that have led her to personal growth.

The journey began in optometry school for her where growth was accelerated for her over 4 years.  She continues this journey of growth as a practicing doctor. Youtubing, reading articles, and podcasts are resources that contribute to her growth. 

She keeps an emphasis on being consistent with her routine, not saying yes to every opportunity, and pushes herself to not be afraid to make mistakes which all contribute to her success.
