• Jesus used Passover food to symbolize His coming sacrifice
• Matzah - Yeast for haste in leaving Egypt, Jesus’ body
• Bitter Herbs (Maror) - The bitterness of slavery in Egypt, the bitterness of sin
• Roasted Egg(Beitzah) - Mourning the Temple’s destruction, mourning Jesus’ death
• Sweet Paste of Fruit and Nuts (Charoset) - The mortar used by Israelites in slavery, The sweetness of redemption despite suffering Jesus transforms the mortar of bondage into the foundation of freedom
• Green Vegetable Dipped in Salt Water (Karpas) - Springtime and renewal; salt water represents tears, Jesus wept over Jerusalem, His resurrection brings renewal and eternal spring

• Jesus washed the disciples feet - a sign of great humility. That was the job of a servant back then.
