A refreshing ride
I found this short excursion quite enjoyable. The reader was great, the story fun while touching on deeper, serious issues, such as how the academic community can discuss in-depth important, critical questions and concepts yet avoid applying them to actual life. It's also telling that Audible records hundreds of fluffy romance and "50 Shades" clones, yet none of the critical theorists mentioned in this book (with the exception of a few in German). "The Culture Industry" provides a few clues on this topic (as well as our current election), but who is interested? Thank you, Douglas Trevor, for this refreshing ride.
