The Development, Experiences and Effects of Disabilities Being Diagnosed at a Young Age Part 2

Listen Later

In the second half of my interview with my sister Hannah, we cover a wide range of discussion including:

  • Growing up with siblings who have disabilities such as Aspergers, Anxiety, Depression and ADHD
  • Why our parents decided to tell us about the disabilities at a young age
  • The struggle of being a witness to people you love struggling
  • Effects of bullying
  • Adults reflecting on their exposure to family therapy at ages of 10 & 12
  • How we as sisters supported each other
  • Where we could have used more support
  • Why it's important to have a support person

And much more in between! This episode is deep, vulnerable and filled with emotion.

I must say, our family is really wonderful, this is simply a conversation my sister and I reflected on some darker times - though we have copious amounts of great stories we can share in the future!
