This chapter speaks of A Father and His son, a relationship that has turned for the worst. Yet through this tumultuous time, David turns to God. Facing not only his son, Absalom as an enemy, David encounters, Shimei, which curses him as he flees Jerusalem, but David does not retaliate in vengeance, but embraces the fact, that this also was of the Lord. When it is in our power to do good to those that curse us, can we? Follow with me, this journey of David, as he flees Jerusalem and crosses Jordan, waiting for the Lord’s deliverance in regards to his son, Absalom that has turned against him, taking the throne. See David’s turmoil as he pens, this Psalms. This is a Devotional of an In-depth study of Psalms 3Music recorded for this session: "Have Thine Own Way Lord" Pollard & Stebbins (Public Domain), and "Lead Me Over the Chilly Jordan" B. Happy are we to be, that walk in the ways of the Lord. In God's WORD we are to murmur daily, no matter what season we face in our spiritual walk. We become strong like a tree, because we are planted by His river, the source of life, we prosper and bear fruit, and we can share with others what God has done for us.www.hlonline.orgFrom the publisher's feed
