Kevin Owocki is an open source software developer who founded Gitcoin, a platform that uses blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to pay developers who work on open source projects. During a walk with Codility’s Kuba in San Francisco, he shared how the technologies that Gitcoin uses can be leveraged to pay bounties, gifts, or fees to developers working in hybrid and distributed teams.

Adam Bermingham is an Engineering Manager responsible for the AI Product Understanding Platform at the online clothing and goods retailer Zalando. He began his career as a software developer but shifted gears into research early on. After receiving a Ph.D. in search and natural language processing, Adam worked as a data scientist for a large media company. When Zalando opened a tech center in Dublin, he decided it was an excellent chance for him to help grow a company and also grow his career by moving into leadership.
