Lolly talked to our hosts Friederike Kara Vieten and Sammy-Miles Geiger about her purpose as a leadership coach, the ability to ask the right questions and why leaders are made, not born. She says: “Even though if you know what needs to be done (for example during a meeting), you have to engage in a dialogue.”

We are happy to welcome Swish Goswami in the third podcast episode of “The Dialogue”. Swish is a 23 years old serial entrepreneur from Canada, LinkedIn-youth-editor, UN Youth ambassador and founder of Trufan, a successful social media branding platform amongst other things he did so. Our host Sammy-Miles Geiger talked to him about his first steps and learnings as a young leader, how he is currently leading his companies through the Corona crisis and why Barack Obama is the leader he would like to talk to most. 

Heiko Hutmacher joins the second episode of “The Dialogue”. He has worked on 4 continents, made a career at IBM before he later joined the management board of the German multinational cash and carry wholesale enterprise METRO as the Chief Human Resource Officer until the end of last year. He talks about his personal experiences with different cultures and how they helped them to grow as a leader, the abilities that you as a future Responsible Leader have to have and how students can close the leadership gap between university and companies by themselves. 

Charlene Li is our first guest of the new World Business Dialogue’s podcast “The Dialogue”. Charlene is the founder of the leadership consultancy Altimeter and member of the Regional Executive Board of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) for the Pacific Region. She talks to our host Sammy-Miles Geiger about leaders’ challenges in a disruptive digital age, the meaning of purpose as an anchor point in this, and how many leaders fail in putting the theory of Responsible Leadership into practice in complex situations like the Corona crisis. Charlene says: “We need compassion, humility, vulnerability. We need to know that our leaders are feeling the same pain as we are. And that is how we trust them."

In the pilot episode of the new podcast "The Dialogue", our host Sammy-Miles Geiger talks to the new Managing Director Simon of the World Business Dialogue. Simon explains why we have chosen the topic "Responsible Leadership" (especially in times of Covid-19), what is your goal and how we want to achieve this. He tells us about his first touchpoint with the topic when he was the first chair cellist of an orchestra and how he wants to grow as a Responsible Leader of the World Business Dialogue. Additionally, he points out two main aspects of the upcoming dialogue: Firstly, it should be about different perspectives and backgrounds from guests of all around the world.
