In the aftermath of Notre Dame being left out of the college football playoff they continue to be the most talked about story in sports. Despite winning their last 10 games by double digit margins the Notre Dame Fighting Irish were not included in the 12 team college football playoff. Idiotic cries for them to join a conference and uninformed opinions about their schedule prevailed over logic and reality. If the goal is to get the 12 best teams in the playoff, then that goal was not met with the omission of Notre Dame.

A loss is loss but losing your best player for the entire season could be insurmountable. Niners lost to Tampa Bay 30-19 last Sunday but the bigger loss was Fred Warners season ending injury.

Who would have thought that Jaguars and Colts would each be 4-1 while the Ravens and Chiefs would be 1-4 and 2-3 respectively? Patriots pull the upset in Buffalo and announce themselves to a nationwide audience on Sunday Night Football. Raiders, Browns, Bengals, and Jets continue to live in poverty. A zany chain of events led to the Cardinals demise vs Tennessee. Buccaneers and Seahawks celebrate 50 years in the NFL together with the game of the week. Despite an impressive debut Shadeur Sanders is still 4th on the Cleveland Browns QB depth chart and its clear that the organization never wanted him or had any plan for him. Could be a blessing in disguise and an opportunity for the promising young QB to escape this poverty-stricken franchise.
