What if having less doesn’t mean God can do less?
Gideon was preparing for battle against the Midianites with 32,000 soldiers when God told him something no military commander wants to hear: You have too many. By the time God finished reducing Gideon’s army, only 300 remained.
Why would God intentionally make the odds worse?
In Judges 7:2-8, Gideon discovers that victory was never going to depend on having enough people, enough strength, or enough resources. God wanted Israel to know where their victory came from.
Maybe you know what it feels like to look at what is ahead of you and wonder whether you have enough. Enough faith. Enough ability. Enough courage. Enough people beside you. Sometimes following Jesus means trusting God when what He has placed in your hands seems completely inadequate for what He has called you to face.
In this sermon from Judges 7, Pastor Jason explores the story of Gideon’s 300 soldiers, what it means to choose faith over fear, and how followers of Jesus can remain focused on God’s mission when the odds seem stacked against them.
You may not have everything you think you need But if God is with you, having less doesn’t mean God can do less.
