The Dirt Path Sermon Podcast

In Part 3 of our series on the Second Coming of Jesus, we dive into Mark 13:14-27, where Jesus describes the turmoil of the last days—but also gives us a promise: He will return. Just like a man trapped in Hurricane Katrina clung to hope for rescue, we, too, must hold fast to the hope that Christ is coming again.

This episode unpacks Jesus’s warning about deception, suffering, and the darkening of the world before His return. But more importantly, it reminds us that evil and injustice will not have the final word—Jesus will.

Are you ready for His return? Are you anchored in the hope only He can provide? Join us as we explore the urgency of living prepared and placing our trust in the One who will come again in power and glory.

We continue our Bible study in the book Hebrews, The Jesus Supremacy, by diving into 2:1-15. This chapter offers a profound lesson on how doctrine informs practice, showing us that what we believe must move beyond knowledge into action.

We explore the supremacy of Jesus as both fully God and fully human—the perfect mediator who bridges the gap between God and humanity. Through vivid imagery, like drifting on a river, we’re reminded of the necessity of staying anchored to the message of Christ to avoid spiritual peril.

Discover how Jesus's humanity and suffering fulfilled God’s redemptive plan, dethroned the power of death, and freed us from fear. We unpack the practical application of these truths: what it means to live as God's family, to walk in faith, and to align our lives with Christ’s mission.

This episode is a call to fix our eyes on Jesus, embrace our identity as His brothers and sisters, and stand firm in the victory He’s secured. Tune in for insights, powerful quotes from theologians, and encouragement to live out your faith boldly.

What does it mean to remain faithful when life feels like an uphill battle? In this episode, we continue our series on the Second Coming of Jesus by diving into Mark 13:9-13, where Jesus prepares His followers to endure hardship with courage and trust.

Through the inspiring story of Florence Chadwick's perseverance and real-life examples of God's faithfulness, we’ll explore how adversity can become an opportunity to glorify God. We’ll discuss how the Holy Spirit equips us to press on when the way forward seems unclear and how the Church is called to stand together as a community of hope and encouragement.

Whether you're walking through challenges or looking for ways to support those who are, this episode reminds us that faithfulness in adversity reveals the depth of our trust in Jesus.

We embark on an in-depth Bible study on Hebrews Chapter 1, a powerful passage that reveals the supremacy of Jesus Christ. While the authorship of Hebrews remains a mystery, the message is crystal clear: Jesus is superior to the prophets, the angels, and all creation.

We explore how the Old Testament served as the foundation for understanding Jesus as the Son of God, who fulfills God’s redemptive plan. Discover the dual nature of Jesus—fully God and fully human—and why this truth is essential for our faith. Learn how Jesus’s divine and human natures make Him the perfect sacrifice, the rightful heir to all things, and our eternal advocate.

We also dive into the writer’s arguments for Jesus’s superiority over the angels, supported by Old Testament scripture, and what this means for us today. From the creation of the world to the eternal throne of heaven, this chapter reminds us of Christ’s unchanging authority and glory.

Whether you’re a long-time believer or new to the faith, this study will challenge and encourage you to see Jesus for who He truly is—the light of God’s glory and the imprint of His being.

We begin a brand-new series, Living Ready in the Last Days, with part one: Signs of the Times.

As Christians, we believe Jesus is coming back—but let’s face it, the idea of His return often stirs up fear and uncertainty. In Mark 13:1-8, Jesus’s disciples wrestle with similar anxieties as they ask Him about the signs of the end. His response challenges them—and us—not to place our trust in the temporary things of this world but to focus on God’s sovereignty instead.

In this message, we explore:

• The historical and spiritual significance of the temple in Jesus’s time.
• Why fear of the future is a distraction from faith.
• How trusting in Jesus offers peace in the midst of life’s chaos.

Are you ready to let go of fear and put your trust in the One who holds the future? Tune in to discover how you can live ready—today and every day.

We dive into the story of Zechariah from Luke 1 and the powerful transformation that happens when silence leads to clarity. Pastor Nicole Barnett shares how losing the ability to speak gave Zechariah the opportunity to listen, observe, and recognize the faithfulness of God in a way he never had before.

How often do our words and doubts get in the way of seeing what God is doing? What if the noise in our lives is keeping us from experiencing gratitude and faith?

Join us as we explore what it means to embrace stillness, open our hearts to God’s promises, and live with bold gratitude, even in challenging times. Plus, discover how a prayer list of praise can transform your Advent season.

Episode Description: Anything Less

This Thanksgiving, as we enjoy family, friends, and delicious food, we're reminded of the incredible blessings we’ve received. But sometimes, we overlook the greatest blessing of all—the grace and freedom found in Jesus.

In this episode of The Dirt Path Sermon Podcast, we dive into Galatians 5:1-12, where Paul passionately warns against adding anything to the gospel of Christ. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is more than enough to save us and set us free from sin’s power. Yet, too often, we try to carry the weight ourselves, relying on rules, rituals, or self-reliance.

Through this message, you’ll be challenged to trade the "cans of green beans" in your life for the feast of grace Jesus offers. Discover how faith in Christ alone leads to true freedom and transforms us into people who love like Him.

Are you ready to let go of anything less and embrace the fullness of God’s grace? Tune in now!

We explore the story of King Hezekiah in Isaiah 39 and his choice to settle for "peace in his time" rather than seek lasting security for future generations. As Election Day approaches, we’re reminded that our loyalty is to God’s Kingdom above any earthly allegiance. Hezekiah’s story reveals a powerful lesson: true peace requires a vision that goes beyond ourselves and seeks to bring Christ’s peace to others—even those not yet born. Join us as we unpack what it means to carry this mission forward, so that our faith today leaves a legacy of peace tomorrow.
