Chris Brittain joins us on this podcast to share his experience of having SDR at the age of 7. He has Diplegic Cerebral Palsy and he chose at the age of 7 to have SDR and my gosh has it completely changed his life. Because of this he wants to share his story to help inspire other parents, children and show what can be done if you put the effort in etc.

This episode we are joined by Georgia Hamer who shares about her life with Cerebral Palsy, what have been the hard bits, but also what she has enjoyed the most. She talks about how she hasn't let her cerebral palsy stop her from enjoying music, going to festivals and even having her own radio show. It is great to hear from her about her journey through childhood into adulthood and we hope it can inspire other parents.

Catherine felt it was necessary to share her experience of being told her first born child was deaf. With no experience of ever being around a deaf person and no one in the family it was a new learning experience for her and her husband, but one she has loved and is proud of how far they have come. 
She's learnt all about cochlea implants and how her son needs more sensory stimulation, but also how important it is for her and her family to learn to sign, to help her son when there are times he cant hear.

Ali comes to share his story with Cerebral Palsy, how he found his motivation to learn to walk, start strength training and Brazilian Jiujitsu!
It was very inspiring to hear him talk, how he learnt about what he needed to do if he wanted to get anywhere in life and that without pain their is no progress.

We welcome back our ambassador Dan to talk about changing the thoughts and fears of disability. Dan knows all too well about explaining his disability to others especially children as he works as a nursery worker and has done for 7 years. He is very good at explaining to all the little ones he works with how to talk about disability, what kinds of questions to asks, how his disability affects help etc. So we decided we would come together and share both our thoughts, feelings and advice on the subject!
