#38 - Imagine walking into a crowded bar with your friends late at night… surrounded by hundreds of people, music blasting, drinks flowing, and security cameras everywhere.
Now imagine walking back toward the entrance just minutes before closing time.
And then… somehow disappearing without a trace.
That’s exactly what happened to 27-year-old Brian Shaffer.
On March 31st, 2006, Brian, a medical student at Ohio State University, went out for a night of drinks with friends in Columbus, Ohio to celebrate the start of spring break. Surveillance cameras captured him entering a popular campus bar called the Ugly Tuna Saloona.
But those same cameras never captured him leaving.
His friends eventually walked out. Every other patron that night was accounted for.
Everyone… except Brian.
Nearly two decades later, investigators still don’t know how a man could seemingly vanish from a crowded bar in the middle of a busy college district.
Did Brian leave the bar undetected somehow? Did he run away from his life?Or did something far more sinister happen that night?
Today, we’re looking at the mysterious disappearance of Brian Shaffer and the question that still remains unanswered.
What happened to him… and who might know the truth?
