On the morning of may 8, 1965, an American physicist stationed in Antarctica named Carl R. Disch departed from the radio noise building of the Byrd station to head towards the main complex. Due to the extreme weather conditions, a handline connected all the buildings together. Despite that, Carl never arrived at the main complex. When a search party was organized, they only found carl's footprints in the snow. 

Up until now, Nobody knows what happened to Carl R. Disch and why he disappeared.
