20 year old Indiana university student Lauren Spierer goes drinking on a night out and never returns home. The students she was last seen with that night become persons of interest in her disappearance case...

What happened to Lauren Spierer, an Indiana University student who disappeared mysteriously after partying with some friends and friends of friends on the night of June 3, 2011?  Rumor is that some substances were consumed besides alcohol, and her parents fear she may have died mid-party, only to have her death concealed by those she knew.  But what happened to her, and where is she now?  Is there a serial killer connection?

On today's show, Juras and Glenn discuss the strange ways this case coincides with those of other assaults, and at least one murder, in the years adjacent to Lauren's disappearance from a specific suspect, Daniel Messel, or someone like him who could have done it.  We also examine how certain clues have been given more or less importance over the years, and speculate as to what could have happened to her, or her corpse if she died.
