#11: Land vs. World

Disneyland or Disney World, which is more worthy of your love? Rick and Briers take different sides debating the California versus the Florida parks.  Which offers better attractions? Better food? Better hotels? We try to sort it all out to discover which comes out on top. Also, your hosts give their top 5 favorite Pixar characters on the Disney List.  Listen as Briers and Rick really struggle to pick from a great gallery of unique individuals that populate the Pixar universe.

Meltdown Presents: The Disney Click #10: Marvel: With Great Acting Comes Great Responsibility

Rick and Briers discuss the superhero actors of the Marvel universe.  Who has done the best job of embodying the powerful roles that we've mostly known from comic book pages up until now. Also, Briers takes us back to when Pixar's A Bug's Life went up against DreamWorks' Ants in the Fall of 1998. Was this a case of business before friendship? Finally, when you think of theme park attractions that were turned into movies, do you think about Pirates of the Caribbean or (gulp) The Haunted Mansion? We look at Disney's past and future attempts to turn beloved park experiences into good films.

Not only is our guest Brian Bradley the exec producer and writer of the upcoming ABC series Uncle Buck (and former writer on MadTV, Happy Endings and Scrubs), but he was also a long-time cast member at the Disney parks.  Listen as Brian joins Rick and Briers to tell stories as only he can about angry mustached mimes, Tigger in the toilet and singing twisted holiday carols at the Haunted Mansion.  We also explore Disney lore in a discussion about crazy things supposedly witnessed at the parks and talk about our wish list if we worked for Disney.
