And the winner of our poll was a 1987 traditionally-animated film about a toaster, a radio, an electric blanket, a desk lamp, and a vacuum cleaner that go searching for a boy that they lovingly call their “Master.” Along the way, they face wacky side characters and frightening opponents, from cute woodland creatures, to a sinister repairman, to a gang of newer & high-tech appliances, to a giant merciless junkyard magnet, in this funny, emotional, and often-dark tale of loyalty, courage, and teamwork.
