As the Writers Guild strike stretches on past the 10-week mark, we turn our attention to another Hollywood strike, the 1941 walkout by hundreds of animators at Walt Disney Studios. Animation historian Jake Friedman joins us to discuss his book The Disney Revolt: The Great Labor War of Animation’s Golden Age.

Then, the second season of one of our favorite shows, The Bear, recently dropped on Hulu. Chris Garlock and Elise Bryant talk with Sherry Linkon about the first season of the show, set in a Chicago sandwich shop. Sherry teaches at Georgetown and co-edits the Working-Class Perspectives blog.
