This week on the DeRP, it is well with the host crew's souls because Pastor Matt is back from Alaska.  The crew discusses the snack needs of the average baboon, we see how well they know national anthems of teams in the world cup as well as the rules of soccer, they give a review of "Instagram Plus" and how it'll chase stalkers back to Facebook, and then they share some opinions on the state of education and other elements of the GenZ experience that America should know.

This week on the DeRP, the host crew gets to the bottom of the pickling; after using AI, Pastor Matt's not worried about a Terminator situation occurring; we fail to name the Morgan and Morgan political party; the host crew can't think of any reasons why someone would not want to go to church (at Heritage); and the DeRP would be a delicious smoothie.

This week on the DeRP, Gianna puts cheese on foods where Lilly and Matt think it should not go.  They were about to draw the line at "cheese in hot chocolate" when Kendall UMC's Rev. Ruben Velasco swept in by phone and backed her up.  The gang also tested out the new gameshow buzzer system, which worked better than the answers the hosts gave; Matt fooled everyone with the Parable of the Lost Camel, we reveal which graduating high school senior Lauren is going to miss the most, and the gang learns that they apparently, inadvertently, all like the flavor of lingonberries.

This week the podcast follows a tough day for the host crew as Taylar, Gianna, and Lilly recap their experience of leading during the difficult funeral of one of our preschool students who was taught music by Lilly and chapel by Pastor Matt.  

Today's episode recapped a busy two weeks at Heritage--church and a DeRP lunch with the bishop, skate night, and this year, the UMC's "announcement Sunday" applies at Heritage as Pastor Janean is appointed to Palm Harbor UMC!  🥲

The crew also gave Pastor Matt a green frog hairband to keep his hair out of his face while he uses the four step face wash they've been telling him everyone needs for months, which they gave him as well.  We also discussed robot marathon runners and the weiner dog infestation in Matt's office.  A bag of cereal was also involved.

This week on the DeRP, the host crew recaps the Pastor Matt's Wife's Birthday Service (Happy Birthday Susan!), the girls get to give their rebuttal to The Boyfriend Episode, there's discussion of the long and storied history of heaven and hell, the girls know jellybeans better than the guys, there's some roaring, we remember that Stephanie won the most recent chili cookoff, karaoke breaks out, and Taylar keeps missing her cue.

This episode of the DeRP was a clandestine operation by Pastor Matt to smuggle in a guest host crew consisting of DeRP boyfriends Ben Jimenez (Aubrey), Ryan Ullery (Lilly), and fiancée Jacob Bertke (Taylar) to give the podcast a rare infusion of conversation about cars, food, sports, and history.  The guest hosts identified candies moonlighting as jelly beans during easter Easter season, predicted the March Madness champion based on which mascot would win in a real life fight to the death, played their half of "The Newlywed Game," discussed which Presidents would be best to beam forward from the past and put in charge today, had upgraded food over the usual, and oh yeah, talked about the girl hosts behind their backs a good bit as well.

This week on the DeRP, our singers SANG, the host crew was disturbed to learn of a new ABC song to combat the epidemic of LMNOP combining, everybody shares their Roman Empires, Pastor Matt is educated on GenZ vocabulary, and it turns out we've all given more thought than you'd expect to what we'd do if zombies attack--that is, except for Lilly and Aubrey, because their zombies are really fast and there's basically no hope for them.  By contrast, Pastor Matt's zombies are the Walking Dead kind, so he just plans to walk a little faster when they're nearby, and avoid walking into dark rooms backwards.

This week on the DeRP, Pastor Matt shares the stuff that didn't make it into this morning's sermon, public education is solved, Aubrey thanks East Lake High School for her moderately improved social skills, Generation Z therapeutically rages against against "Common Core," the host crew reviews the $1,800 Balenciaga "Limited Edition Trash Bag," space station oxygen fees are on the rise, and the Heritage UMC Metaverse Campus does not have much support among the DeRP gang at the moment.

In this week's episode, Matt admits to being a little behind on a certain project, then kills the vibe a bit by talking about the theology of war and peace in light of the war with Iran, but things rebound when an eagle drops a cat through a sunroof, AI translates English into English with a French accent, a llama makes a Taco Bell run, and Lilly makes a convincing case that some things are gonna be awesome.
