Sal Gilbertie says gold and silver prices are being driven up by fears around conflict between the U.S. and Iran. His firm, Teucrium, specializes in agricultural commodity ETFs, and Sal calls grains a strong diversifier for portfolios. “The agricultural commodities are almost impervious to demand shocks,” he notes, and demand has climbed significantly over the last 60 years. He digs into soybeans, corn, and wheat and their cost of production, along with weather risks.
