What happens when the thing you trusted most becomes the thing God strips away?
In this first episode of my sin series, I’m confessing the sin beneath my financial story: idolatry—the places I looked to money, marriage, work, and even yoga to give me what only God can give: safety, peace, and provision.
I share how I went from a six-figure corporate job to $20/week, from a full financial reset (zero debt + a 777 credit score) back into heavy debt—and how God covered me anyway: the “Help me, Jesus” moment, the six-figure yoga blessing, the collapse that followed when the blessing became the idol, the season of forced dependence, and the miracles that proved God—not the system—was my Provider.
We pray the Lord’s Prayer together (“forgive us our debts”) and name the truth Scripture makes plain: “The borrower is slave to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7)—and God is calling His daughters back to freedom, stewardship, and surrender.
If you’ve ever felt ashamed of your past, your patterns, or your financial story, this episode is proof: confession is not condemnation—it’s the doorway to covering
