That's why I wrote this book. To light a fire. To share my story. And to inspire you to create your own DIY Career that is ideally suited for YOU!

The author announces proudly that this book is self-published (Yay DIY!), but an editor's comb could have done wonders here in tightening up the rambling. Theres a long of preamble about what the book is not, which could have been shortened to, This is about big picture inspiration, not the details. Then it launches into over-explained common sense, with the occasional interesting thought (like the idea of Productive Impatience). It might be OK if you have never thought about maverick career moves before and if you can bear hearing etc. pronounced egg-cetera. I gave it three stars, though, because business books are often written in a vacuous style, and it could be good for if you want a buddy in your ear getting your ideas percolating.

No, but only because it was good to take time to think about applying the ideas and suggestions put forth.

I have met Bob, jammed with him, attended a seminar, and keep his Guerrilla Marketing book close by. I have recommended Bob's books and videos to several friends. This book does not focus on the music business but more broadly focuses on a wide range of applications and suggestions.
