Truncate on The DJ Sessions presents the "Virtual Sessions" 12/02/20   About Truncate -    After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.   In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray and most recently started a new project with Ben Sims as ‘Assailants’ which they’ve released on their own imprint ‘Obscurity Is Infinite’.   A rigorous international tour schedule has since followed, including stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, The Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.   With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.   About "The DJ Sessions" -   “The DJ Sessions" is a online/downloadable series featuring the hottest electronic music DJ's with live mixes and interviews, streamed live to a global audience. LUZI TUDOR interviewed on The DJ Sessions Silent Disco Saturday's 9/5/20   About LUZI TUDOR -   LUZI TUDOR is a Romanian Melodic House and Techno DJ and Producer living in LA.  Her journey into music started at an early age where she found solace in the night life and rave scene as a refugee from a torn country that encouraged a wildly creative imagination, resilience and hard work ethic.    Growing up  in Germany and Portugal after the fall of the regime in Romania, she settled in the U.S. she started her "after work" career at the age of 22 as a promoter and talent booker for some of Seattle's major dance clubs. Here she became close friends with many of today's Dance music’s movers and shakers that would ignite and encourage her love for music.   Working nights in the music scene didn’t take away her smarts or ambition where she spent her days building engineering teams for large enterprise companies such as Microsoft. Shortly after her success in the corporate world, she built her own successful and leading technology company in the behavioral health space.   Despite having an extremely successful career as a tech entrepreneur she decided after many years in the underground scene to embark on her love for DJing and producing. Honing in on her knack for technology has been an advantage at learning how to produce.    She brings a stealth and lightning speed intelligence for understanding the technical side of DJing and producing that undoubtedly complements her natural artistic talent and musical ear.    About The DJ Sessions -   We go LIVE every Wednesday at 6 p.m. PST. Marco Bailey on "The DJ Sessions" presents the "Virtual Sessions" 8/17/20 About Marco Bailey - Icon. Living legend. Both definitions that apply to Marco Bailey, a self-taught dj and producer whose career started to develop in the late 80s after attending a local club in his native Belgium, and being completely seduced by the rhythmic power of dance music. That was when all changed. A first approach that triggered the decision to be behind decks instead of the dancefloor. And since then, he has committed his life to music. Three decades later, he’s known as an artist constantly pushing techno to its next level, this by producing his own tracks, managing his first own label MB Elektronics (established in 2001), and of course, by travelling all around the world to make people dance and go crazy with his flawless technique and impeccable selection. When a night is in need of a dose of powerful beats and a deep-intense atmosphere, his’ is the name that needs to be summoned. And this is exactly how over the years he has landed in cities far away from his hometown, with Nairobi (Africa), Tokyo (Japan), Beijing (China), Los Angeles + New York (USA), Sydney (Australia) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) just as a -very- few examples. Yes, it is fair to say the globe has lived the Marco Bailey experience on each cardinal point. During his career, he has released acclaimed singles, Eps and albums on labels like Primate, Drumcode, Bedrock, Intec, Arts etc, on each one of them demonstrating a forward thinking approach, and the desire to not just ignore, but break -or crush- the mold of what can be considered a trend in a certain moment. On each producion he stays 100% true to his instinct and beliefs, and that is an unbreakable pact with his heart. Nowadays, as an innovator and an artist completely and permanently devoted to his craft, he’s at the helm of MATERIA, a concept that was born on 2015 as a successful event dedicated to techno in its purest form. Four years later, this meeting point for techno lovers is known as concept that also includes a healthy label with over 20 releases from top-class names and a bi-weekly radio show that has welcomed revered selectors like The Advent and Paul Ritch, as well as new talents Kas:st and Yotam Avni. Paris, Miami, Tokyo, Barcelona, Liverpool, Amsterdam and its birthplace hometown Belgium have already witnessed the MATERIA’s experience full effect, and more places will join the route soon. With all these credits, it not hard to clearly notice that for Marco Bailey music is everything, and the hot projects prepared for the upcoming months will prove it once again. New growth steps for MATERIA, a long awaited MB Elektronics comeback with an Ep from Aphrohead (Felix Da Housecat’s alias), and new tracks from him that will be soon unleashed to the world. So, ¿plans to slow down or put on the breaks? Not a chance. Not even close. Get ready for Marco Bailey on 2019 and many years to come. tyDi interviewed on The DJ Sessions "Virtual Sessions" 4/22/20   The DJ Sessions "Virtual Sessions" is an interview series that features world renowned DJ's from all over the world.   About tyDi -   Australian DJ, songwriter, and producer tyDi is a conservatory-trained musician whose eclectic trance and house tracks have earned him a globally dominant profile. Born Tyson Illingworth in Mooloolaba, Australia in 1987, tyDi first became drawn to trance and other types of techno in his early teens. Although he played drums while in high school, he eventually procured a set of DJ turntables and by age 16 won first prize at the Brisbane DJ Wars. After high school tyDi relocated to Brisbane, where he earned his Bachelor of Music Technology from Queensland Conservatorium of Music. While at school, tyDi still found time to perform, building a loyal following with his regular appearances at the Brisbane nightclub The Family. In 2008 he maximized this attention by becoming the youngest artist ever to win the InTheMix Top 50 DJs in Australia contest.   After graduating conservatory in 2009, tyDi released his debut album, Look Closer, which rose to the number two slot on the Australian dance chart. Two years later he returned with his sophomore album, Shooting Stars, which hit number one on the dance charts in Australia, Canada, and the U.K. and showcased collaborations with several vocalists including Tania Zygar, Brianna Holan, and Audrey Gallagher. In 2012 he curated the dance mix compilation album Global Soundsystem 2012: California, and the following year he delivered a compilation of his own chillout, non-dance-oriented material, Hotel Room.   In 2014 tyDi released his fourth solo album, Redefined, which showcased a more stylistically varied electronic palette and included vocals from Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba and the Ready Set's Jordan Witzigreuter. A bevy of non-album singles followed, including 2016's "Oceans" (with Jack Novak and Greyson Chance) and "Lost" (featuring Asiahn), among others. He delivered yet more singles in 2017, including "Beautiful War" (featuring Lola Rhodes) and "Closing In" (with Christopher Tin and Dia Frampton).   https://www.tydicomposer.com/     “The DJ Sessions" is a online/downloadable series featuring the hottest electronic music DJ's with live mixes and interviews, streamed live to a global audience.
